Description/Learning Objectives: The School of Medicine requires a specific format for the CV, for faculty going up for promotion and/or tenure. The CV format guide is available here. Bring your CV and learn what changes you need to make to be better prepared for the P&T process. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to define how to format a Curriculum Vitae for Promotions and Tenure purposes; list available resources to assist with building their P&T CV; describe the basic P&T process, guidelines, and timeline; and explain the key content and format elements of an exemplary P&T Curriculum Vitae. Presented by William G. Wilson, MD, Academy of Distinguished Educators Membership Subcommittee. Description/Learning Objectives: This workshop will describe the preparation of the teaching portfolio for P&T purposes, as well as for evaluation purposes. Participants will have an opportunity to review sample teaching portfolios and begin preparing their own portfolios. Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to describe how to prepare a teaching portfolio; integrate the aims of a teaching portfolio with personal academic goals and needs; and discuss the usefulness of a teaching portfolio for professional development. (2 CME credits)
